Francis Wright of Christ Church Parish, Lancaster Co., planter, to Charles Wright, his brother. For love and affection, etc. grants 50 acres for a term of 99 years, it being part of a tract of 300 acres which is part of a patent of
600 acres which belonged to the late Elias Edmonds
who willed it to Walter Heard
who sold it on 6 Aug 1654 to John Meredith,
who sold it on 9 Apr 1656 to John Jones
who sold it on last of Mar 1659 to Charles Hill,
who d. intestate.
Said 300 acres descended to Charles Hill's daughter, Mary Hill, who by marriage became Mary Wright, the mother of said Francis and Charles. At said Mary Wright's death the land came to said Francis Wright as heir at law. Said land adjoins land of Col. St. Leger Codd., and land of Maj. John Pinkard. Witnesses: Joseph Tayloe, Ralph Brig, John Wright, William Chaple.

Francis Wright and Ann Wright his wife, of Christ Church Parish, Lanc. Co. to John Wright [carpenter, p. 463] of same, carpenter. For 3000 lb tobacco, conveys 50 acres, said land beginning at a white oak standing on ye marsh, then along John Pinkard's line, then along Francis Edwards line to the head line of Mr. Elias Edmons. Witnesses: Charles Wright, Peter Kilgore, Wm. Chapple. [researcher's note - apparently had ommitted the following - for 5 shillings - at the lower end of a divident of land on which said Francis Wright lives and noted that Anne Wright refused to relinquish her dower in this land]
